The second time was a charm for an apartment dweller who refused to let a few setbacks stop them from growing a balcony garden.
They learned their lesson and even implemented a trick to up their gardening game.
Editor Important-banana shared how they hoped a few tweaks would help everything improve.
“I’m so happy with my porch setup that we finally put together yesterday!” they said.
They explained some of the planting problems they had previously faced.
“This is my second season in this apartment”, they explained.
“Last harvest did not yield much harvest, as being on the third floor generated a lot of crosswinds that caused a lot of damage to the plants,” they continued.
“The all-metal grille presented a challenge as it is demagnetized.”
Not giving up, they now had a new planting plan in place.
“I secured a clear plastic barrier to help reduce wind and tied a wooden lattice to the railing to build the containers into the wall,” they said.
The image they shared showed more than a dozen plants hanging on the new wall.
They also decorated the outdoor space with larger potted plants and also furniture to sit and enjoy it all.
“Now we just have to wait and see everything grow!” they said.
