A FORMER bartender has spoken about a wedding they worked at.
They were in disbelief at the theme of the event, describing it as the “tackiest” wedding ever.
Editor MedicineChess shared the reception disaster in a post.
They explained that the bride had decided on an M&Ms themed wedding and made every effort to match.
“The palette was rainbow, the centerpieces were M&M’s and her dress had the characters sewn on it,” they said.
The bridesmaids’ dresses, they added, were no better.
“The bridesmaids were all M&M characters with dresses as sparkly as the candy,” they said.
Not only that, but they felt the decor reminded them of something that would appear in a candy store.
“The decor was the giant M&M character displays you see in stores,” they said.
“Can you guess what the cake was? That’s right – a giant green M&M.”
The bride’s obsession with sweets, they explained, resulted from her desire to honor her late family.
“She gave a speech saying that her mom loved collecting M&M things, and she recently passed away, so she re-themed the wedding for her mom,” they said.
“Basically, all of the wedding decor came from her mother’s house.
While some may see the theme as a sweet homage, they explained that it felt a little strange.
“Is this weird to anyone else? I feel like a gremlin saying a way to remember her mom was cheesy, but damn, you guys should have been there,” they said.

Another ceremony that shocked them was one that quickly hit the fan.
“[The] the reception is just starting. The wedding party was on a party bus from the ceremony to the reception and it was destroyed,” they said.
“Fast forward 45 minutes and a groomsman spilled his drink on another bridesmaid while on the dance floor.
“Fast forward 15 seconds and there’s a pile of people throwing drinks and throwing hands. It took less than five minutes for the police to arrive.”
Less than two hours later, the party was over.
“I remember the bride crying as half of her wedding party was transported away in police cars. I also remember her new husband (so drunk [he] could barely stand) telling her, ‘It’s okay, and we’re going to get them.’
“My boss had to tell them they needed to leave. We needed to clean the BLOOD off the dance floor.”
While many agreed that the second marriage felt like a dumpster fire, some thought the first could be forgiven.
“[It’s] the kind of cheesy I love to see. It’s not for me, but you all do it,” said one commenter.
“Yes, I agree! I would be rolling my eyes, but the second I heard it was to honor the bride’s late mother, my heart broke,” said another.
