A SECOND opinion on a wedding guest’s formal attire confirmed her suspicions.
People explained that even if the bride approved of her dress, she might still secretly disapprove.

“I have a wedding next week and these are the two dresses I’m stuck between,” she said.
She explained that she had a preference for a white babydoll style that she designed herself but wasn’t sure about.
“The first one I asked the bride about and she said she ‘has no problem with it and it’s clearly not a wedding dress,’ but I don’t know any of the guests very well,” she said.
“I think I’m more concerned about their opinion.
The guest added that she was afraid of attracting the wrath of the other participants.
“I made this dress and I just desperately want an excuse to wear it, but not if someone is going to ‘spill’ red wine on me (does that really happen?),” she said.
The second option she considered much less viable.
“The second dress I panic bought as a backup dress. I’m not very interested in him,” she said.
“It was supposed to be the size of a teacup, but I’m very short and it looked maxi on me.

Despite her preference for the white babydoll style, critics encouraged her to opt for the pink option.
