A WOMAN has revealed how she turned her passion for throwing parties into a £15,000-a-month side hustle.

Mallory Strange got a business idea after a friend asked her to help prepare her sister’s bachelorette party.

The friend said she would have hired someone to help her, but couldn’t find the right person for the job.

Mallory was happy to help as she loves planning parties, and after realizing there were no bachelorette party planning services in her Nashville home, she decided to open her own business.

Thus Bach Babes was born.

The company initially struggled to find customers, but thanks to her marketing experience, Mallory knew the best way to gain visibility was to continue creating and posting content on social media.

After one of her videos went viral, Mallory received hundreds of questions and quickly had to sort out packages and pricing.

In the early stages of her business, Mallory charged just £115 for an entire party, but now prices range from £300 for a small party to £1,500 for a VIP experience.

Speaking to CBNC, Mallory said: “What I’m really selling is convenience.

“I’m offering a luxury service, but I’m also not stealing people’s money for something they can obviously do for themselves.

“It’s the convenience factor of being able to do it for you.”

As Mallory’s business continued to grow, she began working with some of Nashville’s most popular bars and restaurants and was even contacted by celebrities.

“It’s like every week something crazy happens, our growth is so exponential.”

Mallory’s business now brings in £15,000 a month, and she has decided to quit her social media job and focus on her full-time job after managing to pay herself as much as she earned in her previous job.

The dealer hired interns and three part-time decorators to help her, and is now being hired for other events as well.

She said: “As I got older, people would come up to me and say, ‘Hey, are you having a 21st birthday party? Are you having a bachelor party?'”

Side hustles in numbers

Based on new research from Finder, around 22.8 million Brits are using side hustles to boost their income.

Among those aged 18 to 23, 68% will have a parallel situation in 2024.

People aged between 24 and 42 are not far behind, with 65 percent having an additional source of income.

Side hustles are less popular among older generations, with 40% of people aged 43 to 54 having one.

Considering that 23 percent of people aged between 55 and 73 and only 7 percent of people aged 74 and over earn extra money this way.

And Mallory has plans to expand her business to cities across the U.S. as her success continues.

She said: “The best part is definitely seeing this thing that was in my brain blossom a little.

“People have been dreaming about weddings and bachelorette parties since they were little, so we’re giving people the experience of their dreams.

She continued, “I know a lot of these groups and they are so grateful that their faces light up when they see what we have done and what we have done for them.”
