A MUM OF THREE has come to the rescue with an easy trick for those whose children refuse to eat vegetables.

Unlike many parents around the world, the mother of three known only as LMBambini on Instagram has never had a hard time feeding her kids vegetables.

Although vegetables are full of essential nutrients, vitamins and minerals, a large number of children find the often bitter taste too intense for their taste.

While kids easily accept sweet foods and grow to love them, the same can’t be said about a plant-rich diet — but according to the savvy mom, there’s an easy way to fix that.

”Then I realized the other day that my kids are really good at eating vegetables and always have been.

“And I thought, how did I do that?” said the mother in her video.

The secret trick to getting your picky foodie to eat five a day?

According to the mother, the important thing is to serve the vegetables at the right temperature.

She explained that instead of delivering a plate full of hot vegetables, she serves them cold.

”So, if it’s broccoli, I put it under the tap, cool it and cut peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes or carrots.”

The mother of three will make sure half the plate is filled with cold vegetables – and the other side will be a hot dish, which she will tell the kids is “hot”.

This means kids will eat healthy vegetables while “hot” food cools.

Proud mum picks up a freezer full of food for just £12 but trolls say it’s ‘rubbish’ they ‘wouldn’t feed to their dogs’

The simple yet effective trick has been a game-changer as her three kids now automatically reach for the vegetables first.

The ultimate “mum hack” took over the Internet, conquering the page with more than 220 thousand views and dozens of comments.

While some were grateful, others shared their own methods, with one writing: ”I put a plate of raw vegetables on the table while I finish dinner and say nothing…usually when I serve the meal the veggie plate is empty!”

How can I help my picky eater?

Whether your little one is going through the “no” phase or is adamant they only want to eat beige fruit, one mom has shared her tips to help picky eaters.

Fabulous senior digital writer and mom of two Sarah Bull reveals her experience with picky eaters and the tips and tricks she’s tried…

It can be irritating and also worrying when you have a fussy child. Trust me, I know, I have two of them! But there are some NHS tips I suggest I found it useful.
The first is not to worry about what your child eats or doesn’t eat during the day. Instead, think about a week and see if your intake is balanced and healthy.
“If your child is active and gaining weight, and looks well, then they are eating enough,” the NHS states on its website.
You should try to include foods from your child’s four main food groups – fruits and vegetables, starchy carbohydrates, dairy products and proteins.
If they don’t seem to like a food the first time you offer it, don’t give up. According to research, it takes between eight and 15 times to offer the food before they really like it.
Try to eat with your child and eat the same food. If they see you eating, they are more likely to do it themselves.
Don’t overcrowd the plate – you can always add more if they clean it, but having a plate full of food can often feel tiring.
Another thing to remember is not to overload children with snacks. Two healthy snacks a day is “plenty”, according to NHS guidelines.
Another thing I’ve found helpful is involving your kids in the cooking process. My daughter is much more willing to try new foods if she prepares them herself.”

Someone couldn’t believe it, writing: ”Wow, is this genius or what?!”

Another shouted: ”Where were you a year ago??”

However, not everyone was convinced that the trick would work, as some were quite skeptical.

One mother said: Uhm… my son will wait for the other half of the plate to cool.”

“That worked when they were younger, now at 7 and 9, they don’t touch anything,” laughed one parent.
