A NEW homeowner has shared how she dealt with a negative encounter with her neighbor over her letterbox.

Instead of letting them win, she handled the neighborhood drama with a plan that proved she was not someone to be messed with.

Ashley Brooke (@ashley.brooke22) is 25 years old and recently bought his first home.

In a virus TikTok Videowith over eight million views, she shared her “nasty” neighbor’s criticism of her and her mailbox.

She explained that they left her a handwritten note denouncing her crooked installation.

NO ABSURD NEIGHBOR

“The mailboxes go straight!” the note read.

“Maybe you should be a little more considerate of the people who have lived here for over 25 years.

“Don’t come in and be a problem and create obstacles for others.”

Ashley didn’t take his words lightly and explained in the caption that they “messed with the wrong bitch.”

“POV: Your nasty neighbor doesn’t know you don’t take shit from anyone,” read the text on the screen.

She explained in the caption that her mailbox had only been open for two days.

She had just moved into the neighborhood and was thinking about moving back when she realized it was bulging but didn’t want to anymore.

‘They have no authority,’ angers homeowner over new $500 fine for litter in his yard — and neighbors will police it

“After being disrespected by someone who doesn’t even know me, it’s going to stay,” she said.

Ashley decided to write her own carefully worded letter setting out her boundaries.

LEGAL LESSON

“To Whom It May Concern, Maybe you should be more thoughtful and considerate of the new people moving into the neighborhood and are just trying to make a life for themselves,” she began.

“I’m 25 years old and I live in my first house, which I worked hard for. I have no intention of coming here to ‘be a problem’. A mailbox is no excuse for you to be disrespectful and hostile to me.”

“You don’t know anything about me, as you’ve never tried to talk to me other than the nasty letter you left in my mailbox. If you had been kinder and more respectful, I could have really changed you.”

“However, the post office and the carrier have no problem with his location. Therefore, he will remain where he is.”

She went on to share more details about herself, including how she has a full-time job, doesn’t party, and “minds her own business.”

“Be thankful I moved here and not a crack addict who would cause you real problems,” she concluded.

She also attached an additional document with legal information to the letter.

“Mailboxes are considered federal property protected by rules established by the United States Postal Service,” it said.

“Because of this, only authorized people (mail carriers and the mailbox owner) are legally allowed to put things in and remove items from the mailbox.”

Despite everything Ashley went through with her neighbor, she appeared in a follow-up video who even ended up repairing the mailbox with the help of his family.

She admitted it wasn’t perfect and the post had to be delayed further, but she was “happy and healthy” in her place.

LINE REACTIONS

Viewers weren’t too happy with the decision.

“Girl I was like ‘hell yeah go get that lady’ lol and then I see this lol,” one commented.

“Honestly, is this what all the fuss is about?” another said.

“As someone who just moved in and already has a lady two houses away, says the renovation trash is an ‘eye sore’ in MY BACKYARD AND an old man peeping in front of us. Stay. Your. Floor,” said a woman.

“You did the right thing. Writing the letter like you did was also amazing and I hope she understands and apologizes and is more friendly!” a TikTok user chimed in.

She said they messed with the wrong girl and left a mean letter in her mailbox before making everything right.
