FOR some parents, the summer holidays are the perfect opportunity to spend time with their children.

But not for single mother Amy Rose Jackson, who finds the six long weeks stressful.

The brunette beauty – whose only family is her father – recently took to TikTok to complain about trying to work while her daughter was out of school.

”God forbid my salary is £1 under Universal Credit [threshold] – because then I’m treated like the absolute scoundrel of the earth.”

Amy, who says she has had a job since she was 14, said it was never planned to “have a child with someone and not have it work out.”

”I’ve worked all my life – and you know, life happens. I work as hard as I can and it’s still not considered good enough, constantly,” she bravely opened up on the video.

Amy added that she also wasn’t too keen on having a “dusty” nanny look after her daughter while she was at work and that her ex-partner “can do anything whenever he wants”.

Unlike the child’s father who, according to her, can also work without problems, Amy always needs to think “twice” and consider all aspects.

According to the single woman, even the ten-hour shift she works once a week “is a headache”, as she has to leave early “nine times out of ten”.

Although her employer was accommodating, Amy revealed she wasn’t happy about having to drive half an hour to pick up her daughter – and then make the student wait at her workplace.

Seeking advice on ways to make money from home, the frustrated mum admitted she was living “week to week” and had “no savings” to fall back on.

“Sometimes I just cry – because it’s too much,” said Amy, who insisted she deserved help.

I have benefits but I take at least five holidays a year and stay in four-star hotels – why should I miss out

”I worked all my life, I never borrowed money – everything I did, I did alone and continue to do.”

The young woman – who said she was willing to “sell photos of feet” – stated that despite having applied for six cleaning jobs last week, she has not received a response so far.

The stress only got worse after Universal Credit allegedly deducted around £500 from Amy’s benefits because she missed a phone call.

”I’m depressed again, I’m in debt again, I’m suffocating again.”

Since being posted online, the clip has garnered just over 15,000 views, with dozens rushing to comment to share their thoughts and help.

One mother wrote: ”The only way to do this is to work for yourself or find a job with flexible/school hours, and then UC will pay 85% of the holiday club costs at the OFSTED registered location. I totally feel you.

Another parent who is in a similar situation wrote: ”The only solution I have found is to use my annual leave to look after the children .”

Someone advised: ”Are you entitled to free meals? If yes, then Google FSM holiday club – usually free or very cheap.

”My youngest isn’t eligible so I haven’t looked at them, but my older children are before £4 a day I think!”

A parent chimed in: ”There are clubs where you can book them, I guess depending on where you live maybe?

”In Hertfordshire you receive a code from the school and can book clubs for your children free of charge. They are also fed.
