The mother has since taken to TikTok to publicly apologize for the video in which she called the soft cups “unnecessary and provocative.”

Although the video appears to have been removed, it sparked widespread fury among social media users and other parents who shared their own versions of the purpose of the inserts.

One of these critics, known only as The Asian duosaid: ”These blocks do not exist to convey any inappropriate meaning or hidden messages.

”They’re there for an added layer of protection.”

In her videothe woman explained that some children develop earlier than others and these cups help those who reach puberty earlier than their peers.

”These swimsuits are very thin, and if you use a very light-colored material…

“Things are going to come out and obviously that’s not appropriate,” the woman said in the clip, which has racked up more than 15 million views.

The critic uploaded his response to the platform just one day after the concerned influencer apologized for the original video where she called out the tops.

The mother, who did not specify where she purchased the swimwear, called the initial clip a “mistake” and claimed she made the video after her eight-year-old son allegedly asked about the inserts.

At first, Kristina assumed that the soft padding was to “lift” the girl’s breasts, immediately considering them “unnecessary and provocative”.

In the following video, the mother apologized for the controversy, saying: ”I was handed over and redirected for their purpose, and I feel horrible for insinuating otherwise.

”I sincerely apologize, especially to all mothers.”

Kristina, who was happy to see that some of the response videos were educational, said she “learned her lesson.”

Although most girls enter puberty between the ages of 8 and 13, in some cases women may begin reaching the developmental stage at age seven or younger, depending on genetics.

Swimming Safety Advice

Experts have revealed some of their top advice for adults and children heading to the water this summer:

How to stay safe at the beach

Gareth Morrison, head of water safety at the RNLI, said: “If you are swept out to sea by a current, try to relax and float until you are clear of the current and can then swim to safety.

“If you see anyone in distress, alert a lifeguard or call 999 or 112 and ask for the Coastguard.”

How to stay safe in the pool

Education of little heartsformer paramedic and CEO Nikki Jurcutz said, “Always place your child in bright or contrasting colors that are easy to find in an emergency.

“It only takes 20 seconds to drown, little tips like this can save a life.”

An Auqabliss spokesperson added: “Swimming toys such as noodles, diving rings, buoys and beach balls can be dangerous if left in the pool.

“Children may try to grab them from the edge of the pool and fall in.”

How to Stay Safe at a Water Park

Ali Beckman, Puddle Patos The Technical Director said: “Never send a child down the slide alone, not only will they enter the pool area on their own, they will also have to exit the pool and wait for an adult.

“And wave pools should be avoided until your child is really confident with water splashing in their face and you know they are capable of recovering independently.

“Water parks are often very busy places and it is easy to lose sight of a child in a split second.”

According to Johns Hopkins Medicine, one of the first signs of puberty for girls is the development or budding of breasts.

While many praised Kristina for taking “responsibility,” others were quick to criticize her conservative stance.

One wrote: “They started complaining about the royal characteristics of modesty in swimwear.”

Another person wrote: “I was a C cup at age 9. My mother also developed early. I needed padding but couldn’t find it in a swimsuit small enough. That would have been amazing for me.

Another added: “My sister and I hit puberty at eight and nine years old. I wish this existed when I was a child, because men, boys and girls were quick to point out my nipples and they could be seen through my swimsuit – I was a child.”
