Speaking on the Earn Your Happy podcast, she told host Lori Harder why she trusts Pinterest to help her business thrive.

After deciding the corporate world wasn’t for her, Jenna decided to take a chance and become a wedding photographer, something she excelled at and loved until she realized there was a lack of opportunities to make more money without working more hours.

After filming her first wedding in 2011, Jenna said she kept her head down and worked hard until 2018, when she went viral online for the first time.

He then slowly transitioned from being a full-time photographer to becoming a business owner.

As Jenna created her photography business from nothing, she learned a few tricks along the way that others would find useful too.

“I realized that I had done something really interesting to be able to start a business and in three years make six figures taking photos.

“So I wanted to start teaching this to other people, and it’s basically exploded since then — I started the Goal Digger podcast, which has over 100 million downloads, I wrote a book, I did all different things,” she explained.

On her websiteshe explains how she started with a $300 (£230) camera bought on Craigslist and built a “million dollar empire”.

It’s all about working smarter, not harder, according to the entrepreneur.

She said why spending just an hour a week on Pinterest can help you make money if you know how to use it the right way.

Although it’s technically a social media site, most people use it to plan outfits, get interior design information, and find tasty recipes. Jenna knew that by visualizing it and using it as a search engine, she could help drive traffic to her website.

I love throwing parties so I turned my passion into a £15k a month side hustle – here’s how

This is because, unlike other social media sites, Pinterest is brilliant at linking to other resources.

“People are coming to Pinterest literally wanting to buy,” Jenna said.

Something Jenna would do during her photography career is upload her work to the site and use relevant tags to attract more people.

This way, when brides in the same area were looking for a photographer, they would search Pinterest and find Jenna’s photos, which would lead them to her website.

“In less than an hour a week you will multiply your website traffic by 20,” she said.

The best part of the trick is that she didn’t have to create more content to post, so there was no extra work involved.

For example, Jenna was already taking wedding photos, but by also uploading them to Pinterest, she was able to attract more people to her website to get more work on her website. future.

She encouraged other business owners to do the same, adding that people still find her website through photos she uploaded years ago.

And while some people might think that uploading beautiful wedding photos to Pinterest isn’t a big deal and won’t make much of a difference, Jenna shared her perfect comeback.

“When people think my business is a hobby, I say I’m the CEO of a multi-million dollar empire,” Jenna noted on her website.

Even podcast host Lorri was impressed with the hack and said she would use the Pinterest trick to help her own business grow.
