A FASHIONISTA was left red-faced when she suffered an unexpected wardrobe malfunction.
She said her stylish new leggings had already passed the squat test when disaster struck.
The fitness fanatic spoke openly about the accident on Reddit in hopes that other gym-goers could relate.
FASHION FAIL
She revealed that she had already done four sets of squats in her “brand new” workout leggings when an error occurred.
“They failed a side lunge/curtsy lunge superset,” she said, writing under the handle Justanotherfatgirl.
“The seam on the butt fell apart after three reps…exposing my butt to the entire gym.
“I was wearing underwear this time, but the color distinction was obvious and the rrrrrip sound was scary.
“I dropped my dumbbell and immediately sat down on the nearest bench, frantically trying to figure out what to do while covering my butt.
“What are these? My brand new leggings! I looked so cute in them too, they fit so well! Not too loose and not too tight.”
She said her gym has clothes that members can wear to workouts.
However, they have an ugly design that she generally avoids using.
“I hate them because the gray shows sweat all over and the fabric is kind of heavy and doesn’t absorb well,” she said.
“The size is embroidered in huge orange letters on the back and I really don’t like announcing to the whole room that I wear a large size.
“The shorts are very long, they don’t fit around the thighs, but they are loose around the waist and don’t stretch at all.
“But I had no choice.
“I could give up on my workout after completing just one exercise or simply suffer through the uncomfortable uniform… so I did the latter.
“I’m proud of myself for thinking quickly and being able to finish my training.
“I was upset because my new pants ripped.”
OTHER EQUIPMENT
The Redditor didn’t reveal the brand of leggings she wore, but said it wasn’t the first time she’d been embarrassed while exercising.
“I’ve had a zippered sports bra come undone while running at soccer practice before…I forgot to connect the safety clasp underneath, but boy was it fun to fix,” she said.
What should you wear to the gym?
According to PureGymshorts and leggings should be made from spandex or nylon rather than cotton.
Fitted and loose-fitting tops are acceptable, and layered clothing can be beneficial for warming up and cooling down.

Many people have identified with wardrobe malfunctions and shared their own experiences.
One woman said she had to run out of her Zumba class after accidentally exposing one of her breasts, while another said she didn’t know her leggings were see-through until she left the gym’s changing room.
“I was wearing a hoodie and smelled occasional pi**,” wrote a third.
“I thought maybe I was just imagining it, and sometimes when I’m empty I smell ammonia, so I kept working out.
“My dog peed on my sweatshirt. I had to sterilize everything I touched and I was super embarrassed.
“And I was just wearing a sports bra underneath, so I had to wear that until I got to my car.”
