WE all dream of seeing more of the world, but would you be brave enough to renovate a run-down caravan to do it?

One woman did just that and turned the engine into a stunning little house – with items from her favorite discount stores.

When Hayley I dreamed of life in the opening road, she never could have imagined that her perfect engine would be a 1989 vintage caravan.

Nicknamed ‘Joyce’, the Van Royce camper was in poor condition when the content creator first saw it on Facebook Marketplace.

In fact, the seller was so concerned about the damp starting to appear that she drastically reduced the asking price from £1,500 – to just £500.

Keen to stick to a tight budget, the TikTok star set a £500 limit for the renovation and took on most of the work herself.

After rolling up her sleeves, she began removing the tired cushions and faded wallpaper – which had even been applied to the bathroom.

It was then that she discovered moisture hidden beneath the seats, just as the original owner had warned her.

However, Hayley was undeterred and bought caravan sealant to protect her new van from the elements inside and out.

She then sourced £5 timber from a local business yard and £20 flooring from Facebook Marketplace, to replace the existing one.

With the travel guru keen to complete the work within a month, the influencer added decorative items like tiles – many of which she orders from Temu.

Buy door handles for just £1.28 each for your kitchen cabinets, as well as chic wooden LED lights for £10.98.

My damp covered council house had a ‘criminal’ roof – I DIY transformed it and bought it from B&M and Home Bargains,

Even her tap came from the discount app, with Hayley proudly comparing her £26.28 purchase to the original little tap.

She joked in a now-viral video: “I thought it would be great if we were off the grid [or] not connected to electricity.

Her tiny home looked virtually unrecognizable after the thrifty domestic goddess repainted a small kitchen’s cabinets.

With the renovation almost complete, she scoured stores like Matalan for the perfect items to furnish the space and stick to her budget.

As space was also limited, Hayley had to get creative by choosing small glass jars for a fiver and wicker baskets for £7 – to give the space a cozy, vintage vibe.

She even bought an adorable sign, with a caravan that looked almost identical to Joyce from The Range – which cost her just £2.99.

Having saved up and finding deeply discounted items, she was able to stick to her budget and the influencer was in love with the result.

Although she’s still counting down the days until summer, the DIY guru is already dreaming of exploring her home away from home.

We can hardly blame her as it looks so good.
