The woman shared her tips for treating sunburn on Reddit’s Skincare Addition forum, which has nearly 4 million members.

THE PERFECT REMEDY

She spoke in response to a Redditor asking for advice for her sunburned face.

“I use vitamin E on my skin after it has been out in the sun for a while or has turned some pink/red color,” she said, writing under the handle Cracks for the light.

“I usually wake up not red or peeling!

“I took vitamin E to the beach and always applied it after showering, AND I DIDN’T PEAR IT OFF! OR TURN PINK!

“I also know Benadryl is helpful – since the red/pink is an allergic reaction your skin has to too much sun.

“Benadryl and vitamin E are my saviors from overexposure.”

She shared a link to purchase vitamin E on Amazon, while grateful beauty enthusiasts upvoted the post.

Benadryl Allergy Ultratabs tablets have also been highly rated by CVS customers.

The “easy to swallow” tablets cost just $5.99.

According to Benadryl website, the active ingredient diphenhydramine HCl helps relieve itching caused by sunburn.

They recommend that adults take one to two tablets every four to six hours or as directed by a doctor.

A cool shower can also be beneficial in relieving sunburn symptoms.
