She revealed she bought the caravan after starting to renovate her 300-year-old home and needed somewhere to stay while the builders worked on the house.

Not only that, but Hayley still wanted to enjoy life and travel during the summer, while also budgeting for work on the house.

In a recent clip, she showed the rotting trailer that was hit by mold that ruined the interior, with mold growing in the bathroom and wooden sofa slabs rotting.

But Hayley wasn’t discouraged and began removing the damaged wood and resealing the exterior of the caravan to ensure no more moisture could get in.

Hayley and her partner Ben then began demolishing the caravan, getting rid of what they didn’t want.

This included the trailer’s sofas, as the couple transformed the space into a double bed for them and their cats to sleep on.

The DIY expert turned her attention to decorating the space—opting for a cottage style with wood finishes and soft colors.

Hayley revealed she managed to transform the caravan on budget using purchases from B&M to outfit the kitchen and gluing down Temu tiles to add some character to her home on wheels.

The couple have named their old caravan Joyce and plan to travel around the UK in it.

She bought lots of goodies to make the caravan liveable on a budget – from plastic cutlery for just 50p each from B&M, which included water glasses and wine glasses.

Hayley also revealed she saved money by buying tiles for her kitchen in Temu and extra storage baskets in Poundland for £5.

Clips of the caravan’s transformation went viral on his TikTok account @hayleyrubery_ with more than 81 thousand views and 1,000 likes.

People were quick to praise Hayley for her hard work in the comments section.

One person wrote: “I love it. It’s beautiful. I would love a little caravan like this.”

Why caravan holidays are so underrated

CARAVAN park holidays are a staple in Britain.

And with the cost of living crisis wreaking havoc on Britain’s stock exchanges, more of us are turning to them in search of an affordable break.

Josie O’Brien, senior digital writer at Fabulous, explains why she thinks caravan holidays are seriously underrated…

WHEN I was a kid my mum used to collect £9.50 holiday vouchers from The Sun.

She would use them to book a few nights at a caravan park during the school holidays.

As an adult, I fully appreciate the convenience of a humble caravan holiday.

No passport problems, no luggage limits and no standard hotel breakfast of stale toast and gray eggs.

I still love caravan holidays as an adult.

In a world where everything is done for the grass, a caravan park brings you back to the basics.

There’s no obligation to dress up, there’s no stress about taking a million picturesque excursions in a week, and I don’t get confused in tourist spots like I do abroad.

I love going to coastal caravan parks and walking on the beach.

My highlight is always the fresh mussels, ice cream and classic pubs to enjoy an afternoon drink.

And then, of course, there’s the cost.

Staying in a caravan is definitely a lot cheaper than my international travel.

Without expensive hotel bills and the ability to prepare my own meals, I’m spending hundreds of dollars less than I would abroad.

I’ve spent some of my best and most relaxing holidays in caravans. Maybe I’ll buy mine one day.

Another commented: “Wow she looks amazing.”

“Absolutely fabulous. Congratulations,” wrote a third.

Meanwhile, a fourth said: “Fantastic, well done.”

“It looks beautiful, well done,” said a fifth.

Another person added: “You did really well and I’m sure Joyce is delighted to be renewed.”
