KEEPING calm is on practically everyone’s agenda, but few want to enter cold waters.

One person discovered how to keep their kiddie pool at the perfect temperature.

Editor Gimpyface shared their method for making the weather suitable for everyone.

They asked other users of the platform if they needed advice on how to efficiently fill a child’s pool with warm water.

“Use a bucket to connect your hot tap to the hose,” they said.

“Once the water flows through the hose, gravity does the rest.”

HOW IT WORKS

The bucket of water creates a siphon effect, creating a long-lasting flow of water into the pool.

Assuming that the pool is located below the sink, the water in the bucket must go directly to it due to gravitational attraction.

A Redditor chimed in to respond to concerns about water waste.

“It’s a children’s pool haha. It’s probably about 50 gallons and mixed with cold water,” they said.

The original poster responded, saying it saved time and water.

“Yes, this is literally to save multiple trips with the bucket to get the cold out of the tap water,” they wrote.

Another Redditor gave an extra tip for days at the children’s pool.

“I take some long hoses and put a sprayer on the end,” they said.

“Fill the hose with water and let it rest in the sun. [It] fill [a] Children’s pool measuring 14 by 1.20 m, great with warm water.”

Another recommended purchasing a sink accessory to simplify the process.

However, one Redditor said that while this may work, the siphon method is great for easy access.

“It’s much easier to do this if you already have the equipment and know what you’re doing,” they said.

They added that they don’t have children, but can still see the simplicity of the hack.

“I imagine the siphon trick is better than having to pack up the kids and go to the hardware store, find the part, buy Teflon tape and have the knowledge to install it without crossing it.”

Another Redditor asked why they would need warm water in the summer.

“Still cold where I live, sunny enough that there is an ideal two-hour spot around noon where a wading pool is fun for kids,” they said.
