We all love Aldi, right? Not just for the cheap food and beauty purchases, but also for the fabulous mid-aisle finds.

And the latest special buys have left bargain hunters completely open-mouthed.

It comes after the much-loved chain took to social media to show off its new £2.79 plug-in diffusers.

Alongside the post, the supermarket wrote: “Our Plug In diffusers are the perfect way to freshen up any room!

“Are you going to buy lemon, basil and tangerine or pomegranate?”

The chain has confirmed that the new Hotel Collection diffusers, which provide fresh fragrance for up to 75 days, cost just £2.79 each.

There are two popular scents available, both copycats of Jo Malone’s iconic fragrances – Pomegranate Noir and Lime, Basil & Mandarin.

So if the thought of spending £74 on a Jo Malone diffuser sends shivers down your spine, you’ll need to head down to your local Aldi – and fast.

All you have to do is simply plug in these inexpensive purchases and your home will immediately smell gorgeous without having to spend money on an expensive Jo Malone diffuser or candle.

And even better, you don’t have to worry about remembering to blow out your fancy candle, as these diffusers can be plugged in and left on at all times.

The Instagram post, which was shared on @officialaldispecialbuysuk page, clearly left many completely surprised as it quickly racked up over 2,300 likes.

Aldi fans were keen to get their hands on the cheap plug-in diffusers, so many rushed to voice their comments.

One person said, “Oh, I really need to try this.”

Another added: “Ooooooh, I’ll have to keep an eye on them.”

More shopping in Aldi’s mid-aisle

IF it’s mid-aisle shopping you’re looking for here, some of the new items you won’t want to miss.

At the same time, others confessed that they managed to make cheap purchases and were very impressed.

A woman smiled: “They’re incredible.”

When is the best time to shop at Aldi?

WHEN it comes to shopping at Aldi, the best time to do so depends on what you want to buy.

For reduced items – when stores open

Items with red stickers are rare across Aldi’s 830 UK stores, but the supermarket says none of its food goes to waste, so there are some to be found – if you’re quick.

A spokesperson for the supermarket said: “All items are reduced to 50 per cent of the recommended retail price before stores open at their best time or best before date.”

This means you’ll have a better chance of finding reduced-price foods if you go to stores as soon as they open.

Opening hours vary depending on the store, but most open from 7am or 8am. You can find the hours of your nearest store using the supermarket online store finder tool.

For special purchases – Thursdays and Sundays

Special Buys are Aldi’s weekly collection of items that it doesn’t normally sell, which can range from pizza ovens to power tools.

New stock arrives in stores every Thursday and Sunday, so naturally these are the best days to visit for the best one-off specials.

For an even better chance of bagging the best items, head to your local store during opening hours.

However, you don’t need to go to stores to buy a Specialbuy.

They are also on sale online, usually at midnight on Thursday and Sunday, and you can order them up to a week in advance.

As long as you spend at least £25, items will be delivered free of charge.

Remember: once they’re gone, they’re gone, so if there’s something you really want, visit asap

While a second chimed in: “I brought one today and it smells beautiful. Very strong. Happy with mine.

However, not everyone was so interested in the street discoveries.

One person criticized: “Irritating because you can’t refill it, it turns into disposable plastic!”

Meanwhile, someone else posted: “Trash!!! Don’t waste your money!”
