A 24-YEAR-OLD woman revealed that she is the mother of a 16-year-old, as well as three other children.
Tasia Taylor and her husband Drew, 26, are parents to Tamiray, 16, Rory, 14, 12, and two-month-old Ashtyn Rose.

Although this may seem impossible, as Tasia is only eight years older than her youngest son, there is a simple explanation.
Soon after Tasia and Drew got married, they started looking for foster care.
Initially, they were looking to foster children between the ages of one and six, but ended up pairing up with 14-year-old Rory, who happened to be a student in Tasia’s class at school.
“We didn’t know they were going to let us take a teenager,” she said in an episode of Truly is my extraordinary family
The foster placement was originally planned to be temporary, but the couple later received a call that Rory’s brother urgently needed a place to stay.
Therefore, they decided to also take in the 12-year-old boy and adopted both children.
Tasia’s cousin, Tamiray, was raised by her grandmother.
However, Tasia revealed that, unfortunately, her grandmother is not seriously ill with cancer.
That’s why the couple decided to adopt her too, meaning Tasia is now legally Tamiray’s mother, despite being just eight years younger than her.
Tasia said: “We were just going to seek legal protection [with Tamiray] but after we adopted both children, it was very important to Tay that she was adopted.
“We actually adopted her a few weeks ago.”
The couple also has a biological child, baby Ashtyn Rose, making them a family of six.
“We went from zero to four in less than two years…we were a little overwhelmed,” Drew said.
How does adoption work?
In the United Kingdom, the process of adopting a child is lengthy and can take up to six months for the documentation to be finalized.
To be considered, you must meet the following criteria:
- You must be over 21 years old
- You must be a legal resident of the UK for at least 12 months.
- No criminal convictions – especially any relating to child endangerment. This applies to everyone in your home.
You will also have to undergo an initial background check and assessment, which will consider whether you are suitable for adoption.
Potential parents will also go through training and a process to match them with the right child.
Unfortunately, not everyone supported the family.
Tasia shared an insight into her life as a first-time mother on TikTok to raise awareness about fostering and adoption.
However, the post was flooded with comments suggesting that she and Drew were “too young” to raise children.
She said: ““It’s not really a question of age… I think we’re very mature for our age,” she explained.
“The worst comments we got were people assuming Drew was ‘disgusting’ or doing things to our kids.
“It makes me deeply upset just to hear that…it also makes me wonder where their hearts are?”
However, Tasia and her family don’t let the trolls get to them and are very happy together.
