A HUSBAND-to-be has revealed his concerns following his bride’s bridezilla moment.

She had promised his sister that she would be a bridesmaid at his wedding, but abandoned her at the last minute.

The duo, who have been engaged for three months, are planning their wedding and deciding who will wear what to the wedding.

The 30-year-old, whose identity is anonymous, has known his fiancee Amy*, 29, for seven years.

He also has a nine-year-old younger sister named Lily*, who he believed was “very close” to Amy.

But as time passed, the husband realized that the bride abandoned her younger sister as bridesmaid, as she thought she would ruin the photos.

Taking to a online forumOn Reddit, he wrote a post and asked for advice on whether he is in the wrong for “being angry” about the situation.

He wrote: “Amy promised Lily before we even got engaged that she could be a bridesmaid at our wedding.

“Lily has waist-length red hair, which she is very proud of, and Amy loves it and often comments on how beautiful it is and loves playing with it.

“The problem arose last week when one day I was at my parents’ house without Amy, and Lily was talking to me and asking when Amy was officially going to ask her to be a bridesmaid, as she was very excited to go dress shopping. .

I hate my mother-in-law – she interrupted my wedding vows and stole my favorite song… people say I shouldn’t have married my husband,

“I said it’s none of my business as the groom, and she would just have to wait and see, but I was really happy to see how excited she was.”

The groom then went to ask Amy later when she planned to ask Lily to be her bridesmaid.

He continued: “She hesitated and then said she wasn’t going to invite her and she wasn’t going to be a bridesmaid.

“I was surprised because she always expressed that she wanted Lily to be part of our wedding party.”

For her to give up on a nine year old now for such a superficial reason… that’s bullshit on her part

The couple is planning a spring wedding and Amy is “really excited” about the bridesmaid’s trend of wearing different pastel colors.

He added: “I know the bridal party is completely Amy’s decision and not mine, but I asked her why not all of a sudden.

“She said that if Lily was part of the bridal party, she would wear a light pink dress, which would go horribly with her vivid red hair, and she didn’t want that in every photo.

“I personally don’t think it would be a big deal, and I know Lily would especially love this dress as it’s her favorite color.

“I asked if it was possible for Lily to wear one of the other colors and one of the other bridesmaids to wear light pink.

“She said that she had already decided what each of the girls would wear based on what suited them best, and that it simply wasn’t possible for Lily to be a bridesmaid.

“I left it like that overnight because I didn’t want to fight about it.

“Until now I’ve stayed out of the way of all the bridal party stuff as it’s completely her choice, but I was shocked by this as Amy has already told Lily she can be a bridesmaid.”

Future groom

The groom decided to bring up the subject again with Amy, the next morning calmly, but I was shocked by the response.

He said: “I brought it up again the next morning calmly and asked if there was no way she could still do it as she was so excited.

“Amy turned around and almost screamed in my face and said that she had made her decision and that it was final and that Lily would not be a bridesmaid.

“I told Lily that for a few different reasons she couldn’t be a bridesmaid, but I didn’t tell her why as I didn’t want her to feel that way. it was her fault.

“She didn’t make a big deal out of it and just said okay, but from what I’ve seen of her and what my parents have told me, she’s very upset.”

The post attracted a lot of attention, with many rushing to the comments section to share their thoughts.

“For her to give up a nine-year-old child now for such a superficial reason… that’s bullshit on her part.

“I hope this kind of behavior is really strange for your fiancée and that she is super stressed and not thinking clearly.

“Surely you don’t want to marry someone who would normally hurt your younger sister over something like that.

“Oh, and by the way, pink and red go really well together – in fact it’s fashionable, so your fiancée is simply out of fashion, as well as being unnecessarily cruel to your sister.”

Another added: “Easy solution… make her a bridesmaid and let her stand by your side at the wedding party. That’s where my sisters were.

“Also, I would seriously question someone who breaks a promise to a nine-year-old and defends this shitty behavior by yelling at you about it.”
