COUPLES are most likely to have sex between 9pm and 11pm, research suggests.

A quarter enjoy pre-bed playtime, with a tenth resting a little earlier, from 7pm to 9pm.

Almost the same number stay up until 1am to have fun.

Six percent are early risers who arrive at 5am and 9am, while the same proportion enjoy a quickie at lunchtime from noon to 2pm.

Three percent say they work the 1 a.m. to 5 p.m. shift.

Will Cunningham, 34, from Norwich, said he and his partner Sophie get nervous when they get home from work at 7pm, saying: “We go straight to the room and put off dinner.”

Durex’s research found that a fifth didn’t know what time they had sex or played several times a day.

The condom brand said: “Our data shows that as a nation we love nighttime sex between 7pm and 11pm, yet many of us indulge in the activity before breakfast time.

“The country’s Durex sexual schedule shows that no time is off limits when it comes to sexual activity.”
