SHE thought she was dating an FBI agent – but after investigating the man’s true identity, Jenna Jean’s world fell apart.
The woman, who went from unsuspecting girlfriend to amateur detective, bravely shared how the rollercoaster of a story unfolded.
“In 2021, I decided to try dating apps for the first time and met someone who I thought would be a good fit for me,” Jenna opened up about the incident.
“He claimed he worked for the FBI the entire time we were dating.”
Six months later, Mr. Romeo suddenly announced that he was moving to Washington D.C. for what he claimed was “FBI training.”
Although the two lovebirds attempted a long-distance relationship at first, they eventually broke up and went their separate ways.
”Six months later, he called me describing a secret mission and informed me that I would no longer be able to contact him at his current number.”
She admitted: “Something felt wrong, so I started investigating.
”That’s when I realized that my emotions had completely blinded me.”
The brunette beauty relayed her suspicions to a friend who worked in the US intelligence sector.
But according to the friend – who desperately searched for her boyfriend’s profile in his database – there was no trace or record of him as an FBI agent.
Three years later, the young woman was invited to appear on the Dating Detectives podcast, where the host, a private investigator, said she could put the matter to rest.
A few weeks later, Jenna recalled, she received an email from the investigator informing her of a discovery.
“My mind was racing. We had planned a call in 30 minutes to discuss everything, and I was beside myself.”
When Jenna picked up the phone, her suspicions were finally confirmed — her ex-partner “wasn’t in the FBI.”
“In fact, he never went through FBI training. There was absolutely nothing in his training connected to the FBI.”
Looking back on their time together, Jenna admitted that she ignored and ignored a lot of red flags and red flags.
“He wasn’t a con man in the traditional sense,” she said.
“He didn’t take money from me or need a place to stay. He had his own apartment and paid for things. It seems like he lied just for the thrill of it.
“He was always very private, but I distinctly remember seeing a resume and cover letter from the FBI on his desktop, almost as if he wanted me to see them.
“He had no social media or friends that I could find. He claimed that all of his friends were on military missions.
She added: “He rarely shared any details about his work. The private detective from The Dating Detectives told me he had no professional history other than being in the military before he met me.”
Four warning signs that your partner is cheating
Private investigator Aaron Bond from BondRees revealed four warning signs your partner might be cheating
They start taking their phones everywhere
In close relationships, it’s normal to know each other’s passwords and use each other’s phones. If their phone habits change, they could be hiding something.
Aaron says “If your partner starts changing passwords, starts taking their phone everywhere, even at home, or becomes defensive when you ask to use their phone, this could be a sign that they’re not being faithful.”
“You should also look at how they place their phone when not in use. If they face the phone with the screen facing down, they could be hiding something.”
They start to talk less about their day
When partners cheat, they may start to avoid you, this may be because they feel guilty or because it is easier for them to lie to you.
“If you feel like your partner has suddenly started avoiding you and they no longer want to do things with you or stop telling you about their day, then this is another warning sign.”
“Partners often avoid their spouses or tell them less about their day because cheating can be difficult, remembering all your lies is impossible, and it’s an easy way to get caught,” says Aaron.
Your libido changes
Your partner’s libido can change for a number of reasons, so it may not be a clear sign of cheating, but it could be a warning sign, according to Aaron.
Aaron says: “Cheats often have less sex at home because they are cheating, but sometimes they may also have more sex at home, this is because they feel guilty and use this increase in sex to hide their cheating. You may also find that your partner will start to introduce new things into your sex life that weren’t there before.”
They become negative towards you
Cheaters know that cheating is wrong and for them it will feel good, which can cause tension and anxiety within them that they will need to justify.
“To get rid of the tension they feel inside, they will try to convince themselves that you are the problem and become critical of you out of nowhere. Maybe you didn’t walk the dog that day, put away the dishes, or read a book. set aside for your children before bed. A small problem like this can now seem like a big problem and, if you experience it, your partner could be cheating on you”, warns Aaron.
However, the bizarre story doesn’t end there – through her now-viral TikTok videos, Jenna was able to connect with another woman who also fell for her lies.
“A girl found me after I shared my TikTok and said she lived in DC at the time he told me he was supposed to be training,” she said.
“She went on two dates with him on Hinge there. He told her he was working for the FBI, not just in training, but actually working undercover there.
Later, the amateur sleuth continued, she met another Florida woman after her friends sent her Jenna’s podcast and ”looked a lot like the guy she was currently dating.”
”It turns out it was him!”
Despite Jenna sharing her story, the woman continued dating the con man.
“It shows how manipulative he can be,” she said.
“God only knows what lies he told her to get out of it.”
