BRITS are returning to the swinging 60s with a new thirst for free love and partner swapping.
The findings are part of The Sun’s Summer Sex Survey, which aims to reveal what makes the nation tick.
Non-monogamy is proving to be a great encouragement as we face a new wave of sexual freedom.
One in ten respondents have been to a sex festival and a third are eager to experience one.
Ten percent confess to using kinky threesome apps to explore fantasies and a quarter have invited third parties into their bed.
A whopping 25 percent of us are adopting an “open” vacation policy, giving partners a pass to sleep in while they’re away.
But these aren’t just casual flings.
A quarter of people in polyamorous relationships plan a getaway with all of their partners at the same time.
Meanwhile, loyalty is not always very important.
Alarmingly, 16 per cent admit that summer makes them more likely to cheat, with a third reporting a rise in one-night stands.
Damien Muretti, founder of a luxury sex toy company Nerdz Bedwho conducted the research on behalf of The Sun, said: “The findings are fascinating.
“We are witnessing a significant shift in cultural norms, especially regarding ethical non-monogamy.”
“What was once considered taboo is now increasingly accepted. Twenty years ago, sex toys were quite rare, now more than half of people use them.”
Here, we delve deeper into the results of our eye-opening survey.
