If you want to get into pickleball but don’t plan to invest yet, this set is a good place to start. Why do I need this?

Spring and summer are the perfect time to play, and pickleball is a great excuse to hang out with friends. Both the paddles and balls are USA Pickleball Association approved, meaning they are the right size and weight. So how does this set differ from others that cost more? Aren’t all pickleball paddles and balls the same?

Not exactly. These paddles have a wood core that’s more likely to break during, er, a moment of frustration than more expensive fiberglass. Wood also weighs a little more; these paddles are about 10 ounces each, while fiberglass paddles tend to be lighter at about 8 ounces.
