These new rules get straight to the point, revealing the secrets of longevity and well-being in clear, practical advice. (Amazon)

We were surprised by some of the advice in the book because it’s so… easy. Lipman talks a lot about strengthening the powers of your cells through “small stresses.” This could mean running up a flight of stairs or simply radically changing the temperature – say, finishing a hot shower with 30 seconds of an invigorating cold rinse. Believe it or not, this contributes to a stronger immune system.

Fasting turns out to be a big deal, and although we’ve heard a lot about fasting before, we’ve never seen it explained so well. The short version is that regular fasts—the 14 or 16 hours between dinner and your next meal—are an easy way to lose weight, improve sleep, and strengthen many bodily functions, including your immune system. We had no idea!

O New rules for aging wellI is full of good news, like the fact that a cup or two of coffee doesn’t hurt and even has some mild benefits. (Spoiler alert, though: Tea is the star of morning drinks—it’s packed with anti-aging benefits.) This book is full of surprises, showing you the shortest distance between you and optimal health, including:

  • How you can use CBD (Cannabidiol) instead of so many other things in your medicine cabinet – medicines that you may think aren’t doing you any harm, but could be causing all kinds of side effects that accumulate over time.

  • Why is everything okay – and even to improve – do not eat before exercising in the morning.

  • Clarity about complicated things like eggs (are they good or bad?), salt (it’s not necessarily the quantity, but rather the type this can be problematic) and sugar (agave and honey are basically equally harmful to the body).

  • How to take care of your feet daily so they don’t hurt as you age.

  • A clear list of supplements to build immune resilience and support longevity – and the doctor’s levels and dosages that may be more innovative than those you’ve heard before.

There are even great sections on the importance of certain “soft factors” for health – caring for a cat or dog can be a huge boost to wellbeing. Hanging out with friends is essential (medical orders). Nature, laughter and intimacy are excellent medicine. This doctor talks about your entire life and your overall well-being, not just the medical side of things.

For just $4, this e-book It just might change your perspective on the number of candles on your next birthday cake – reframing it as a call to action, a time to build strength and immunity and become the best version of yourself. Why not send the Kindle version to some friends and get started together today? Here’s to your health!
