Why do I need this?
If you don’t have a tablet or are using a much older iPad, the M1 chip is a worthwhile upgrade. It’s extremely fast – and no, that’s not a pun on the Lightning cable connector – while remaining incredibly portable and lightweight. It does all this without sacrificing power or features. The 2022 iPad Air still comes with Touch ID (but not Face ID), high-resolution cameras and more.
It is also compatible with Apple Pencil (2nd generation) and Magic Keyboard. Combine these two accessories with the iPad and you have a decent laptop replacement on your hands. Oh, and did we mention that the keyboard doubles as a protective cover for the screen?
The front and rear cameras are 12 megapixels, and the front camera uses the Center Stage feature to keep you in the middle of the screen, even if you’re moving. Fans say it’s the ideal choice for everything from working on the go to playing your favorite games when you have a little downtime.

Cons
Customers found very little to complain about, with the biggest complaint being focusing on the camera. “The only downside is the position of the front camera. It should be like the iPad 10.” (The iPad 10 has a landscape-facing front camera, unlike this model.)
Another problem? No Face ID: “It’s a slower login because of this, but it’s not a big issue for me personally.”
