Why do I need this?

Air purifiers are essentially fans with a filter. They suck in air, separate and trap allergens, then exhale it into your room. They do this repeatedly until the air you breathe is clean and free of irritants. The Kilo has a three-stage filtration system. The first captures pet hair, dust and lint; the second is the aforementioned HEPA filter, which focuses on bacteria, mold, pet dander, and pollen; and the last-stage carbon filter traps smoke, vapors, VOCs, pet odors and cooking smells.

According to US Environmental Protection Agency, HEPA air filters can remove at least 99.97% of dust, pollen, mold, bacteria and most other airborne particles. The Kilo’s filter can trap particles as small as 0.03 microns, which is considered very good.

This little workhorse can sanitize a space of up to 1,076 square feet in the space of an hour. If you live in an apartment, this is the right size to clean everything, but if you live in a larger house, you may need to buy several.
