A RARE supercar once owned by a famous rap star is up for grabs on Facebook Marketplace.
The flashy engine once driven by Missy Elliot has just 3,000 miles on it – and it won’t be cheap.
The 2008 Spyker C8 Supercar is on the market for a staggering £476,000.
It is an ultra-exclusive vehicle and is one of just 266 examples built by the Dutch brand before it declared bankruptcy in 2010.
Spyker Cars wanted to make a splash when it arrived on the circuit in 1999, and it did just that by releasing a swanky supercar as its first model.
The wonder engine was the C8, a bold vehicle that combined jet-inspired design with driver-focused dynamics and a powerful powertrain.

The “Work It” rapper’s C8 is one of only 32 Laviolettes (Spyker’s name for the car) that were transported to the US.
Your shining body characteristics a curved hood, louvered fenders, and a giant roof vent.
The car is also the only left-hand drive car in the black and ruby color combination, according to the listing.
And the vehicle was also customized by Missy Elliot herself, who installed an aftermarket sound system, as the C8 didn’t leave the factory with one, which is hidden in the glove compartment.
With swan-style doors that open upward and a two-seater cabin covered in quilted Ruby leather and aluminum trim, the car is in good condition, with just 3,880 miles on the odometer.
The C8 is a purist’s dream as it does not include power steering, traction control, or anti-lock brakes, which are characteristics which some oilheads believe has ruined the longevity of modern supercars.
Elliott’s example comes from the final stages of production and features a timing chain rather than the less reliable timing belt that appears on earlier cars, which also makes maintenance easier.
The current owner is asking more than £476,000 for Elliott’s C8, which is more than double the original sticker price of £218,800.
They are open to negotiation, suggesting there is room for negotiation.
The rapper only parted with the car two years ago, when she sold it to the current owner.
The tour has been detailed and serviced under its current ownership.
“It was originally owned by Missy Elliott and I purchased directly from her two years ago,” the ad says.
“Spykers use the Audi 4.2L V8 and the availability of passionate experts makes the cars extremely easy to find parts for and keep running well.”
It arrives as a Range Rover used by Queen Elizabeth and the Obamas has been put up for sale – boasting hidden lighting and TVs.
The flawless engine has covered less than 3,000 miles in two years of dedicated real-world service.
It’s even possible that the Queen herself worked on it, having trained as a mechanic during the Second World War.
The car was registered in 2016 and purchased by the late monarch’s husband, Prince Philip, before being sold back through the Land Rover dealership network.
