The world’s biggest junkyard has a 1950s rock star’s last vehicle on display – they bought it just months before he died.

It all started when a family store became a famous museum.

Old Car City, a 34-acre “work of art” in White, Georgia, holds the record for the world’s largest junkyard with more than 4,000 cars.

The local “mayor”, Dean Lewis, inherited the property from his parents, who built the general store in 1931.

Shortly after, the general store turned into a dealership that sold used vintage car parts – and that’s how the huge collection came about.

Six years after Dean took ownership, he saw the true potential of the massive collection, stopped selling used car parts, and turned it into a destination.

Now people pay to organize weddings among the rusty classics, organize corporate parties, and schools regularly hold classes in Old Car City.

Now, Old Car City showcases amazing vintage cars, such as a collection of vintage car-themed toys and vehicles used in movies.

Some belonged to well-known actors, musicians and producers.

One of these vehicles is a 1977 Cadillac Seville purchased by Elvis Presley.

The Seville had other modifications added, such as a unique two-tone paint job, a CB radio, and a burgundy and silver interior scheme.

It was the last car the actor and musician bought, just months after his premature death.

Presley was a big Cadillac fan and owned several in his lifetime – 20 of them are on display at the Elvis Presley Automobile Museum, which opened in 1989.

He bought his first Cadillac in 1955 – a bright pink ’60 Fleetwood that awakened his insatiable appetite for vehicles made by the automaker.

Presley loved the Cadillac so much that it is estimated he purchased more than 200 Cadillacs to give to your friends and family.

In addition to Cadillacs, he owned several Harley Davidson motorcycles, a 1962 Ford Thunderbird, and a 1963 Rolls Royce Phantom V.

Harboring a love for vehicles with a more eccentric design language, he also owned a 1973 Stutz Blackhawk III.

Presley was the first to buy a Blackhawk III, originally designed for Frank Sinatra – although the singer refused.

In January, a 1976 Cadillac Seville, previously owned by the star, went to auction in Kissimmee, Florida.

The vehicle had just 54,684 miles and adorned all of the star’s ambitious modifications, along with a bill of sale to Presley and a museum plaque.

The car sold for $86,000.

In addition to a car owned by Preseley, Old Car City also advertises a car used in a film starring Andy Griffith and Johnny Cash.
