A HOMEOPER found his garage entrance blocked by four heavy boxes placed there by a delivery man – he had to park his car elsewhere.

Oftentimes, when things are delivered to the wrong address, it’s not a big ordeal.

When User X arrived home, he discovered that four large boxes had been delivered to his home by Home Depot.

However, the boxes were not placed on the porch or near the front door.

Instead, they were in his driveway, making it impossible for him to put his car in the garage.

The worst part for him was that the packages weren’t even for him.

“Hey Home Depot,” he wrote in his publish.

“Not only is this not my thing (it’s my neighbor’s, we share a garage), but you blocked my garage, where I park. Or at least where I want to park.”

To make matters worse, the packages were nearly impossible to move.

“Each of these four slabs weighs over a hundred pounds and are positioned to fall into the garage if the door opens wide enough,” he continued.

He further criticized the delivery man’s positioning choices, saying they were lucky not to damage his car by causing the boxes to fall as he opened the door to leave.

“Not to mention how complicated things would have been if it had been delivered before I left,” he said.

‘You have to reorganize your life’, enrages the driver trapped at home by construction – she was not warned and had evidence on camera

According to the SKU number on the boxes, the delivered items were outdoor chairs.

The home deposit website would consider the delivery a “threshold delivery,” meaning the items would be placed near a garage, yard, deck, or first room in the house.

Standard delivery is for smaller items that would be placed closer to home.

Due to the size of the boxes, a delivery driver would likely have used a cart or wheelbarrow to remove the items from the truck without risking the carriers.

With a wheelbarrow or cart, items would be taller and might not fit near a neighbor’s door – hence their placement in the user’s garage.

The product description for the exact items stated is that each chair weighs 35.7 pounds.

The product only had 19 reviews on the store’s website, but had an average of 4.8 out of five stars.

Why is it illegal to block a driveway?

Blocking a driveway is illegal in the United States due to limiting access to emergency care.

In addition to being reckless, blocking a driveway is a serious safety hazard, cops say.

Blocking someone’s entryway is illegal in all 50 states, with fines and penalties varying by state.

For example, blocking a driveway in San Francisco, California can net a driver a hefty $286 towing fee and a $110 fine.

This does not include food to recover the vehicle from an impound lot, which costs on average more than $600.

In an emergency, a blocked entrance can mean the difference between life and death for a patient.

“In the United States, it is illegal to block a driveway, even your own,” says Parklio’s website.

“It’s a matter of public safety: emergency services like fire trucks, ambulances or police cars need this space to enter and exit.

“An obstructed driveway can also prevent vehicles from getting out onto the road to seek emergency services.”

“This is the most comfortable chair I have ever used,” wrote one reviewer.

“It’ll put you to sleep, it’s so comfortable. It looks great with the quilted wicker, it’ll look great anywhere. The back is adjustable so it’s easy to find the right position.”

Another satisfied customer wrote that it was perfect for relaxing in the backyard.

“This is a very well made and very comfortable outdoor lounger,” the review read.

“The wife wanted this lounger to rest after getting out of the hot tub. No assembly required right out of the box.”

A different customer wrote that ease of assembly and comfort earned its five-star rating.

“They come completely assembled! Just bend your legs,” they sang.

“This is easy thanks to gas auxiliary shock absorbers, like those in hatchback cars.”
