While the initial announcement last November showcased its design, the brand has withheld details about the new car until now.

Cadillac has finally released more information about the new electric vehicle and its features, including starting price and range.

The 2025 Optiq will start at $54,000 when it goes on sale later this year, priced competitively against the higher trims of the Kia EV6, Hyundai Ioniq 5, and even the Tesla Model Y.

Key features of the new Optiq include its base on GM’s Ultium platform, with an 85 kWh battery and a standard dual-motor all-wheel-drive system with 300 horsepower, 354 lb-ft of torque and an estimated range of 300 miles. before needing a charge.

And when the battery runs low, its DC fast charging capability, which can add 80 miles of range in just 10 minutes, is a convenient way to continue your journey with minimal wait times.

Other notable features include one-pedal driving and Regen on Demand, allowing drivers to slow down or stop using a paddle on the steering wheel.

The exterior of the Optiq resembles a more refined and technological version of the XT4.

Measuring 190 inches long, the Optiq is 10 inches longer and an inch taller than the XT4.

Storage space has also been improved, offering 26 cubic feet behind the second row and expanding to 57 cubic feet with both rows folded.

Aesthetically, the Optiq features a fixed glass roof, black crystal grille and exclusive greeting lighting.

Meanwhile, the interior is equipped with advanced technology and features typical of most modern electric vehicles.

This includes 33 inches of dashboard screen space, a suite of driver safety features, and a standard 19-speaker KG audio system with Dolby Atmos.

It also comes with standard SuperCruise hands-free driving technology, free for the first three years.

With the added benefit of the electric vehicle tax credit, Cadillac could see strong demand for this new model as it hits dealerships.

Since the announcement, motorheads have been debating the car on X, formerly Twitter.

“That’s interesting. Tesla better speed up the Model Y update,” he wrote a user.

“That doesn’t seem like a good deal unless you really want a Cadillac.” he said somebody.

“Anyone who appreciates a solid interior will get that with a Tesla,” he responded other.

“The interior of the Model Y is just ridiculous for a $50,000 vehicle,” they continued.

The Optiq will be available in Luxury and Sports trims when production begins this fall.
