THE TASKS are tedious enough without having to bypass irresponsible drivers, and supermarket customers have had enough.

Whole Foods shoppers at one location are calling the store to order a tow truck after a careless driver parked it.

Kenij, @kenjimallon on X, posted the infuriating situation, showing a vehicle blocking the entrance to the store.

The shiny Honda four-door sedan is blocking the right-hand driveway, meaning no other vehicles can exit the parking lot on the correct side of the road.

“Frankly, I can’t understand why Whole Foods didn’t tow this from the parking lot entrance. No fine, nothing,” wrote Kenji.

Some chimed in, equally shocked by the driver’s actions and the store’s lack of diligence in resolving the issue.

“My guess is a lot of people are going to ‘not *my* job,’” one commenter guessed.

Kenji responded by giving the situation more context and drawing his own conclusions.

“It’s probably been parked there all night but it’s right on the city line so I’m sure the people who park it are like yolo,” he responded to the comment.

Others questioned whether the street markings were clear enough, ready to give the driver grace in his mistake.

“There isn’t even a painted curb,” another user responded, adding a pensive thought emoji.

Likely interpreting the tone as sarcastic and argumentative, the original poster, Kenji, fired back.

“It’s a garage entrance, they are parked in front of a garage entrance,” they reiterated.

“Also, painted sidewalks aren’t legal, so maybe you need to take a written test in Massachusetts?” Kenji continued.

PARKING HAZARD POSTER

Kenji typically finds problems with vehicles in his area, posting them on X to be judged.

After criticizing the irresponsible parking lot at Whole Foods, he reposted an image of a driver hiding his license plate, parked in a city bike lane.

“Fantastic colorful bubble cover,” he wrote.

The vehicle in question was another sedan, a Nissan Altima, with an unreadable license plate thanks to a blacked-out plastic cover.

Another image, taken by Kenji, revealed a gray minivan blocking an entire sidewalk as it entered a parking lot.

With the side door of the van wide open, it looked like the driver was there to stay.

“Wonderful,” was all Kenji said about that shoddy parking job.

Most recently, the sidewalk warrior posed in front of a black GMC pickup truck with a sizable lift.

“Hood over 60″ from the floor ‘Cowcatcher’ at knee height”, criticized Kenji.

He also pointed out that the windows, including the windshield, were so dark that it was almost impossible to see inside.

How to Fight a Parking Ticket

You can avoid being fined by following all published laws and regulations, but sometimes mistakes are made

Like any form of citation, parking tickets can be avoided by reading and obeying posted signage. However, when visiting a new city, or state, or in a hurry, things can be missed and mistakes can be made.

Suddenly there’s a ticket you weren’t prepared to pay for. If the ticket comes as a surprise to you, there are some things you can do to help your case when appealing a parking ticket.

  • Read the ticket carefully. Look for errors such as incorrect street names, license plate numbers, vehicle make and model, time and date, etc. Errors would render the ticket invalid.
  • Take pictures. The vehicle in the space, lack of signage, or other vehicles that were not cited for performing the same parking service. If the ticket involves parking too close to something like a fire hydrant, a photo showing a reasonable distance would help your case. Make sure metadata with time and date is accessible. Signs that are obstructed by trees, or on crooked posts, or that are not “obvious” are also great things to photograph.
  • Make sure the statute that was violated is listed on the ticket. If it is not listed, the ticket is not valid.
  • Immediately follow the appeal instructions on the ticket. All legitimate tickets will have appeal instructions. Waiting until the last moment weakens your argument and can result in late fees.
  • When in court, avoid these phrases as they reduce your credibility and weaken your argument:
    • “I didn’t know the law.”
    • “I was going to move my car.”
    • “I can’t pay this ticket.”
    • “I’ve been doing this for years.”
    • “I checked with the parking officer, who said everything was fine.”
  • Contact a lawyer. If you are facing obstacles and feel stuck, you may want to contact a traffic lawyer in your area. Many have free case consultations.
