A MOTOR expert revealed the five cars that are not worth the money spent.
If you’re looking for a new car, make sure your future car isn’t on this list of cars that won’t reach 100,000 miles.
Content creator and automotive expert Bev (@garish) posted a TikTok listing the cars that won’t last 100,000 miles before needing to be fixed or dying completely.
Bev, who has more than 99,000 followers, warns watchers to “stop buying these cars.”
Nissan Versa was the first car on the list.
“There will be transmission failure, it’s almost guaranteed,” Bev said in the video with a photo of the Nissan behind him.
“The CBT broadcast on these… they could be made out of papier-mâché.”
“It’s horrible. They make these cars cheap. Don’t buy them.
Following the Versa is the Mitsubishi Mirage, which Bev called “another really cheap car.”
“Very, very, very, very low initial cost, but you’ll make up for the cost very, very, very quickly when you’re in the store 24/7.”
The Kia Optima came in third due to its poor engine and engine.
“The 2.4 [liter engine] What came in them – it’s honestly impressive how bad they are, and if the engine lasts 200,000 miles, good luck with thieves.
The video, which has more than 125,000 likes, continues to rank the Chrysler 300 as the fourth car to watch.
Bev called the Chrysler 300 the “poor man’s Rolls Royce,” which will make you poor too.
“These things are extremely unreliable,” he continued.
“I don’t see many of them going over 100,000 miles.”
“Maybe you can get 120,000 without much trouble.”
In last place is the Maserati, a car that can range from $70,000 to well over $100,000.
“They all suck. You probably won’t get 100,000 miles in any of them,” the TikToker said cheekily.
The video has more than 3,000 comments filled with other TikTok users commenting on their thoughts on the list.
Some car owners disagree with the list, saying their old cars are running fine.
“Wrong, my mirage works like a champ and likes abuse,” wrote one commenter.
“Any car can be reliable, just keep maintenance up to date and research what is most likely to break down,” said one commentator.
Some users supported Bev’s list, claiming their cars died well before 100,000 miles.
“My 2020 Nissan Versa transmission has reached 86 thousand miles. Luckily, my insurance paid for it to be replaced,” shared one Versa owner.
