A DRIVER hung up after receiving a ticket for overnight parking while his vehicle was in the garage.

In a Facebook post, a driver said she received the ticket even though she had parked the same way for more than a decade and a half.

“How the hell do I get a ticket for parking in my driveway,” the driver initially wrote in one post.

The driver said she had lived in the same house for 16 years and parked the same way every day.

She assumed the officer wrote the ticket to meet a “quota.”

“It’s crazy waking up to a ticket and thinking, ‘Wait a minute. I wasn’t parked on the street,’” the driver wrote.

“This police officer must [have] I woke up on the wrong side of the bed!!!”

However, the driver admitted that a detail of her parking left her open to receiving a fine.

A portion of the car’s bumper was hanging off the sidewalk, the driver said.

In a separate comment, the driver said she would pay the fare.

The US Sun reached out to the driver for comment on this story.

She did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

My HOA Found a Legal Loophole to Avoid Parking Rules Crackdown – I Still Can’t Park in the Garage and Pay a $500 Annual Fee

Several drivers commented on the post with their own stories of parking tickets in garages.

Another driver admitted that his vehicle was towed from the garage because it was not registered.

ROAD DRAMA

Several drivers complained about neighborhood problems with congested parking.

A neighborhood in Brooklyn, New York, was furious when homeowners caught drivers cutting into the curb on a city-maintained sidewalk.

Neighbors complained that the now-scraped curbs looked similar to sidewalks and eliminated street stains.

Other neighbors complained about not being able to park their pickup trucks in the garage.

Several large truck drivers said their HOA asked them to park in a separate lot up to 0.8 miles away from their home.

The lot also costs drivers $500 annually.

Florida state lawmakers passed HOA regulations that appeared to have stopped collection fines.

However, the association points to a contractual loophole to maintain the fees.
