A TEENAGER is criticized online by viewers who refuse to believe she bought a new Tesla with her own money.

Most viewers suggested that the $51,000 car was purchased with her parents’ money.

Seventeen-year-old content creator and student Sophia Castiblanco from Illinois receives hate daily because she earns almost $100 thousand a year as an influencer.

On a video posted on her account (@sophia.castiblanco), she got into the car that she allegedly paid for with her own money.

However, most viewers accused her of using “daddy’s money” to buy it.

Haters’ comments ranged from “She makes me want to throw up” to “I hope your battery dies and you have to take out a 25 grand loan to buy a new battery.”

Some even wrote, “Please shut up and stop using daddy’s money to buy things. It’s time to get a real job” or “Are you going to tell me you can buy a Tesla Model 3 at 17? Don’t even try to tell me yes.”

She responded to their comments, with her video lashing out at the haters going viral on TikTok with 5.9 million views.

Despite the hate she receives for her choice of car, Castiablanco is proud of how much she has achieved with her income.

She claims she was able to purchase the Tesla Model 3 through a payment plan and plans to purchase even more luxurious cars in the future, such as a Porsche.

While Castiblanco is extremely open and proud of her achievements, she acknowledges that the hateful comments have made her cautious about what she posts.

“It wasn’t until I started receiving a huge amount of hate every day that it started to affect me a little bit,” Castiblanco said in a accompanying video.

Man boasts about cost of 3,605-mile Tesla Model Y trip with family – but people are quick to point out oversight

“It’s not so much that I feel bad about myself, but rather, I’m more careful about what I post. So instead of posting what I want, I look for something in my videos that can excite my audience right now.

The comments have different messages, but they all attack his character and choices.

“I get all kinds of hateful comments and messages, from saying I’m a spoiled child, that I’m useless, to that I’m ungrateful and that I’ll never be successful in life,” Castiblanco said.

She went on to say that her haters tend to come out when she talks about how resourceful she has been with the money she makes from her social media followers.

However, sometimes it doesn’t matter what she posts – they will be in the comments.

Electric vs gas vehicles

Pros and cons of electric vehicles versus gasoline-powered vehicles

EV PROS:

  • Convenient (when charging at home)
  • Cheapest (depending on the state or city)
  • Cheaper maintenance due to lack of mechanical parts
  • Great for commuting
  • Reduced CO2 emissions
  • Federal and state tax incentives
  • More performance (speed, handling – depending on make and model)

EV CONS:

  • Higher initial cost
  • Higher Insurance Rates
  • More frequent tire and brake replacement intervals
  • Higher tare weight (thus causing faster wear on crucial parts)
  • Low resale value
  • High depreciation rates
  • Lack of charging infrastructure
  • Unreliable public loading (related: slow loading times)
  • Poor performance in winter and summer
  • Lack of clean energy alternatives means more “dirty energy” from coal and nuclear sources
  • Range anxiety

PROS OF GAS:

  • Highly developed refueling infrastructure
  • Fast replenishment
  • Cheapest insurance rates depending on make, model and configuration
  • Established repair industry
  • Lower initial cost
  • Greater range before refueling, especially with hybrids
  • Many manufacturers produce engines with almost fewer emissions
  • Cheaper refueling depending on location

CONS OF GAS:

  • Finite resource (related: heavy dependence on oil)
  • Carbon emissions/greenhouse gases
  • Higher repair costs
  • Higher insurance rates depending on make, model and configuration
  • Varying costs at the pump depending on state, city and county

“I’ve noticed that haters will take every little thing from a happy video and just find a way to turn it into something negative. “It’s often, usually in videos where I talk about my income or my car or my success in some ways that will trigger people.”

Sophia has aspired to be an influencer from a young age, and despite her peers telling her otherwise, she managed to achieve her dream at the age of 12, when she started a YouTube channel playing with and reviewing reborn dolls.

The channel is still active and has more than 175 thousand followers.

After the success of her first channel, she started a second one focusing on lifestyle videos, which has more than 30 thousand subscribers.

However, Sophia makes most of her income through TikTok and brand deals associated with the app, where she has over 321.9k followers and 9.2 million likes.
