The effect that rich countries’ carbon footprints are having on developing nations that enjoy very few benefits.
It cannot be denied that the richest countries, especially the United States and Western European nations, have emitted most of the greenhouse gases that have led to our planet’s climate crisis.
In fact, just 23 countries are responsible for half of all global carbon dioxide emissions. However, it is the world’s poorest nations that are being hit hardest by the effects of climate change.

It also illuminates how, in rich countries like the US, it is still the most disadvantaged who suffer the most serious consequences of their governments’ climate inaction, while those causing the most damage simply seem to get richer.
