An Evans man was arrested Wednesday after investigators with the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office allegedly found child pornography on his computers.

Steven Yanizeski, 28, is charged with possession of child pornography and distribution of child pornography, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office. He was not granted bail.

Around 9 a.m. Wednesday, investigators executed a search warrant in the 1000 block of Terri Court in Evans, according to the release. The warrant was for a person who actively possesses and shares child pornography.

Investigators allegedly found two open laptops on Yanizeski’s bed that were actively connected and sharing child pornography, according to the release.

The incident report had not yet been released as of 9:30 a.m. Thursday.
