Biden’s beach nap shakes the Republican Party: Who governs the country?

President Joe Biden was spotted sunbathing on a Delaware beach, and the moment angered some opponents, claiming the moment showed an “unbelievable dereliction of duty.”

The RNC Research X account tweeted: “Biden – who held just one public event this week – is currently relaxing on the beach in Delaware.” They added: “He spent 40% of his entire presidency on vacation… Who runs the country?”

The tweet prompted other social media commentators to pile in.

“Why is no one in Congress accusing your lazy butt?!!!!!” he said User X @JoeVeteranUSMC. Conservative host Cash Loren added: “Who runs the country? We still don’t have an answer.”

And then, of course, came the comments about President Biden not really being alive.

Commenter Malissa Canton said, “This doesn’t really help the ‘Weekend at Bernie’s’ joke.” Another commenter added: “Can someone check if they are breathing?”

“Honestly, that’s probably when most things get done. When they’re not hanging out with him,” tweeted commentator David Smith, who describes himself as an “engineer” who is “trying to base everything on facts and figures and not assumptions,” adding: “Let’s get rid of the politicians.”

Since suspending his re-election campaign, President Biden has been in the news for securing the launch of The Wall Street Journal journalist Evan Gershkovichspeaking in support establishing term limits on the Supreme Courtand his first full interview since dropping out of the presidential race will air in an interview since dropping out of the race will air on CBS News Sunday morning on August 11.
