Man attacks teenagers in road rage incident at gas station in Florida

In an unintentionally ironic situation, an Alabama man started a fight fueled by road rage at a gas station in Niceville, Florida. According to the Walton County Sheriff’s Office, 40-year-old Alabama resident Thomas Keebler, who has apparently had several run-ins with law enforcement so far in 2023, attacked three teenagers at a gas station after they did something you didn’t like on the road.

Surveillance footage from the gas stationthat we included, shows Keebler entering the station before the teens, but not arriving at a bomb. Instead, he locks the teens into a bomb in what clearly appears to be an attempt to start something.

If you are followed by someone in a road rage situation and they wait until you stop somewhere before getting out of your vehicle, the worst thing you can do is get out of your car to confront them. Since there is no audio in the video, we have no idea what the teens said, but at first you can see that Keebler was pulling on the Kia Soul’s door handles because he wanted a face-to-face confrontation.

As in so many incidents, once the targeted children exited the car, Keebler became more aggressive, eventually escalating to physical violence. At one point, he even pushes the teenager who got out of the Kia. She deftly runs away for help as the man throws her friends to the ground and continues beating them.

The man that teenager called appears to intervene and calm things down. Keebler then begins to climb into his truck, but not before another man is seen walking toward the truck, obviously recording the incident with his phone, which he points at the back of the truck as Keebler walks away. This was a smart move because the security footage is in terrible 480p resolution.

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office says Keebler is facing assault and child abuse charges. The man turned himself in after officers contacted him about the incident at the gas station. Keebler has a long criminal history that includes assault, so he obviously has no problem using violence to make his point. This is why an increase in road rage incidents is a bad idea, as the other person may not have boundaries.
