Myrtle Waves Water Park will open on May 11, but without three of its water slides.

Riptide Rockets, Turbo Twister and the new Wild Water Racer are still under construction and will not be available to ride until Memorial Day weekend, according to a message sent by Myrtle Waves Water Park.

“Thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation as we navigate the last few weeks with a major construction project while still opening our doors,” the statement read.

Wild Water Racer will debut at Myrtle Waves3000 Mr. Joe White Ave., this year after being removed from Wild Water and Wheels, a Surfside Beach water park that closed in 2022. Myrtle Waves has more than 20 waterslides, plus a wave pool and lazy river.

The water park will be open from 11am to 5pm on select days in May and hours will be extended in June. Ticket prices range from $21.99 to $49.99 per person.
