LEHI, Utah (ABC4) – A Lehi High School teacher was taken to the hospital after what school district officials are calling a very unfortunate accident during class Friday morning, according to the city of Lehi.
Just before 11:40 a.m. on May 10, a Lehi High School teacher was injured in a “tragic and very unfortunate accident” during class, according to a news release from the city of Lehi.

Lehi Police It is Lehi’s Fire responded to the accident, and the teacher was taken to the hospital for treatment. No students were injured in the event, officials said.
“The area has been secured and there is no additional risk to students or others who may be visiting the school,” the statement said.
According to the city, parents of all Lehi High students have been informed of the incident as well as available crisis counseling and support services.
“We extend our deepest concern to the teacher involved and his family during this difficult time,” officials said. “We are grateful that no students were injured in the accident and appreciate the quick and professional response of the Lehi fire department and police.”
“We are also grateful to our excellent school administrators, who always lead their teachers, staff, students and families with sensitivity and compassion,” the City of Lehi statement said.
