A bank has filed for foreclosure on a popular shopping mall in Greene County and says it owes millions of dollars in loans.

News Center 7’s John Bedell found that Wells Fargo claims Greene Town Center defaulted on a loan after paying less than a fifth of the total on time.
Court filings claim The Greene owes nearly $113 million.
The original loans taken out in 2013 were more than $137 million, according to court documents.
Community members want to know what’s next for the place where they shop, eat and spend their money after learning the mall owes a lot.

“We don’t want to see any place like this close or go downhill because the bills don’t get paid,” Beavercreek resident Jim Derksen said.
News Center 7’s John Bedell has reached out to The Greene management, its parent company and the city of Beavercreek for comment.
The city of Beavercreek declined to comment, and The Greene’s parent company acknowledged the request but has not yet responded.
