(NEW ORLEANS) — The storms that hit several Southern states added to a recent spate of weather-related destruction and deaths in the region, including that of a Louisiana woman who was nine months pregnant.

The woman was killed later Monday night storms knocked down a tree on a home in West Baton Rouge Parish, authorities said.

Kristin Browning, 31, was nine months pregnant and her unborn child did not survive. Browning’s husband and 5-year-old daughter were also injured but were expected to survive.

Another death occurred near the city of Henderson, Louisiana, authorities said on social media. A tornado appeared to have touched down in the area, but authorities did not provide details about how the person died. Henderson is about 100 miles west of New Orleans.

In Mississippi, one person died in Wilkinson County during storms that hit the area on Sunday and Monday, authorities announced Tuesday. Details were not immediately available.

Florida and parts of southern Georgia were again under the threat of severe weather Tuesday, with tornadoes still possible, according to the National Storm Prediction Center. Another area at risk for storms on Tuesday covered parts of Tennessee, northern Georgia and northern Alabama.
