A reporter asked Joe Biden if he planned to serve the full four-year term if he wins back the White House.
The president responded by asking the journalist if he had fallen on his head.
The exchange took place at Philadelphia International Airport on Wednesday, shortly after Biden arrived on Air Force One for campaign events.
“President Biden, will you serve your full four-year term or hand over power to the Vice President [Kamala] Harris,” asked the reporter.
“Are you okay? Are you okay?” Biden responded.
The pair struggled to hear each other over the background noise.
The journalist repeated the question: “All four years or a pass?”
“You’re not hurt, are you? I said are you okay? Did you fall on your head or something? Biden conceded, before turning to Democratic lawmakers standing next to him.
