Criminal Donald Trump appeared with glassy eyes from his crypt of self-pity on Friday morning to remind Americans that he’s not just the first convicted felon to run for president — he’s also a disjointed and incoherent mess.
Speaking of his conviction on 34 criminal charges of falsifying business records to cover up a secret payment to former adult film star Stormy Daniels before the 2016 election, Trump babbled to reporters who gathered inside Trump Tower in Manhattan.
“Crimes, crimes, they are falsifying business records,” he said, looking exhausted and more a little crazy than usual. “This seems so bad, to me it seems really bad, you know it’s just a misdemeanor (FACT CHECK: These were criminal charges) but to me it seems so bad, when they say falsifying business records, that’s a bad thing to me, I’ve never had that happen before. I’m falsifying… you know what it’s like to falsify business records, in the first degree, they say falsifying business records looks so good, right?
Uhhh… of course?
Trump’s post-conviction press conference was a babbling mess
The man who some truly believe is qualified to be President of the United States also claimed that the witnesses at his trial were “literally crucified”, said President Joe Biden wants“stop you from having cars” and said that the judge who will sentence him on July 11 is “really a demon.”
Trump is now a convicted felon. Democrats, don’t let voters forget this.
Trump could have testified in his own defense, but he didn’t, and the excuse he offered was a random assortment of words which went nowhere, then moved on to a totally different topic: “I would have loved to have testified, to this day I would have loved to have testified, but you would have said something out of tune, like it was a beautiful sunny day and it was in the morning. It’s actually raining, and I really appreciate the big crowd out there, it’s amazing what’s happening, the level of support has been incredible.”
Yes, incredible. Or as the Washington Post reported while Trump spoke: “There are perhaps a few dozen supporters out there, but no organized demonstrations of any magnitude. It’s mainly curious people and the normal traffic on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan.
Trump as a “steady hand”? Now THAT’S funny!
Look, I’m no political strategist, but I’m not sure that putting the presidential candidate who was just convicted of 34 felonies in front of cameras to ramble like a drunk at the end of the bar for more than 30 minutes was fantastic. idea. Trump’s inarticulate gurgle has spawned several “In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida”-sized ads for Democrats to use in the coming months.
Before Trump spoke, one of his Republican enablers, Rep. Wesley Hunt, let Fox News know what Americans would hear from the former president: “We will hear a firm hand. Let’s hear the voice of a father and a grandfather. Let’s hear the voice of the future president of this country telling us that everything will be fine.”
HAHA! Well, that certainly didn’t happen. Instead, we hear a dyspeptic chinchilla with anger issues screaming gibberish.
Presidential polls are useless. Will Trump win? Will it be Biden? Nobody has a crystal ball.
Republicans really need to consider their options. Trump is a disaster.
Republicans are still adapting to the new normal of having a convicted felon at the top of the list. They are trying to unite around his double impeachmentmulti-indicted, held responsible for sexual abuse, guy unable to shut up. But seeing Trump’s performance on Friday and knowing that his already erratic rhetoric has worsened with each accountability visit, perhaps it is time for Republicans to rethink the “presidential candidate” issue.
In a quiet corner somewhere is Nikki Haley, a sane person by comparison who was a presidential candidate and would probably be happy to become one again. Perhaps an exchange is necessary?
Liberals keep saying Biden should be replaced, but what about Trump?
There are people on the left who look at the poll numbers and scream, “WE MUST REPLACE JOE BIDEN ON THE PRESIDENTIAL TICKET BECAUSE WE NEED SOMEONE YOUNGER!”

Trump is a convicted felon who does nothing but angrily rant about complaint after complaint in a way that only the most staunch MAGA believers could understand. He’s spiraling like a real-life Gollum from “The Lord of the Rings,” obsessed with precious revenge in the same way Gollum longed for the One Ring.
So where are the calls on the right to replace the 77-year-old criminal who can’t speak straight with a newer, less legally burdened version?
Face it, Republicans. The cheese slipped off Trump’s cracker and it’s not coming back. Friday was a preview of the next distractions for his party. Buckle up or buckle up.
