WASHINGTON COUNTY, Utah (ABC4) – Two people were taken to the hospital with broken ankles after jumping from Toquerville Falls in Washington County on Saturday, according to Washington County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue.
“Our search and rescue team in conjunction with Hurricane Valley Fire medical units responded to Toquerville Falls yesterday to assist two men who jumped from the falls into the pool below and suffered ankle injuries,” a WCSAR post states.

One of them was reportedly taken away in a jeep before being taken to the hospital in an ambulance, while the other was taken by Life Flight to the hospital.
“Please avoid jumping from waterfalls, especially when you do not know the depth of the water below,” WCSAR officials said. “As the weather warms each year, we receive many rescue calls in both Toquerville and Gunlock Falls due to these same types of incidents.”
