Season 14 Real Housewives of New Jersey promised fans a different kind of drama. Teresa Giudice would no longer be fighting with her brother, Joe Gorga, and his wife, Melissa Gorga. Their relationship was destroyed just like Melissa’s sprinkled cookies. And Teresa married her prince, Luis Ruelas, and the pair vowed to stay in their love bubble. But are financial issues causing tension between the couple?
Luis takes out a big loan
Teresa and Luis’ marital and financial problems were at the center of the season 14 trailer. In the preview, Margaret Josephs can be heard on the phone saying that Luis “pissed off her money.” Additionally, Teresa still owes approximately $615,720.94 in taxes and liens as of October 2023. And that’s after she pays off $480,291.20 of the debt.
Meanwhile, Luis’s company, Digital Media Solutions, was sued in May 2023 for alleged harassment. Juanita Williams filed a class action lawsuit claiming she was receiving telemarketing calls from Digital Media Solutions and Choice Health Insurance.
But Luis found a way to make it rain. According to court documents obtained by The US Sun, Luis took out a million-dollar loan for the pair’s Montville home in March 2024. He is listed as the “sole member” of the LLC who purchased the home. In January 2021, the couple purchased the residence, which has seven bedrooms and a paltry 10 bathrooms, for $3,350,000. They did not take out a loan on the property at that time. How long Luis has to pay the mortgage is unknown.
As far as employment goes, Luis helped launch a live streaming app called Vinivia. Some people referred to the business as “your company.” However, The US Sun reported that Luis provides services to the company and is an independent contractor.
