The man, identified as Polish climber Marcin Banot, attempted to reach the top of the 125-meter-high Globant Tower before the eyes of surprised local residents.

The action prompted the dispatch of police, firefighters and rescue teams to the area.

Banot, who was wearing the Argentine football team’s shirt, was intercepted by a rescue team who put him in a seat belt and forced him to get down. The climber was taken into police custody.
