Hulk Hogan turned on the light for me. His speech at the Republican National Convention was pure WrestleMania. He had Trumpists eating out of his hands. And all of this shows that the Republican Party no longer cares about governing our nation – they just want to entertain it.
I read that the Roman emperors built the Colosseum to entertain the masses, so that the masses would ignore the hardships they were subjected to. And the same goes for the Trump version of the Republicans – they dangle shiny trinkets in front of the masses so that they ignore that their national government is doing nothing for them and that the elites (individuals or companies) are the winners. It spews lies about all the great things done in Trump’s first presidency and then extrapolates those lies about how things will be even better in the second round.
Americans, we need reality, not reality TV.
