Simone Biles and Suni Lee dazzled the public at the 2024 Paris Olympics with her performance and tights on her way to winning gold medals.

Who made the duo’s uniforms and what inspired them?

The tights were created by apparel company GK Elite Sportswear based in Reading, Pennsylvania.

Founded in 1979, the company focuses on manufacturing athletic apparel and partners with the best teams in the world, including the United States, Canada, Australia and the Netherlands. The US-based company also designs and manufactures its clothing in-house.

Biles’ leotard is called Luminous Legacy and has 10,000 uniquely made crystals, some of which are majestic blue and others of Zion, made to resemble the night sky. The bodice has a starry design on the bodice with crystals lining the sleeves in a stripe pattern.

Both uniforms feature Swarovski crystals from the famous jeweler.

Lee’s uniform is called USA Elegance and has a vibrant red and navy design on the body. It is adorned with 5,000 crystals that represent Lee’s competitive fire with its shaped diamonds and crystal flames that form a sublimated mesh bodice with a lace pattern that transitions to the back. The uniform is also a tribute to Parisian fashion designs
