Harris-Walz Campaign Adds Camouflaged Beer Holders After Hats’ Success

Vice President Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D), hope to cash in on the success of their camouflage hat products by launching similar beer can holders.

“We have camouflage [for legal reasons we must call these ‘can coolers’] now,” Rob Flaherty, deputy campaign manager, said in a post on social media.

The can cooler is selling for $15 at the campaign website and it is made in the United States by a union.

The camo-printed stand has the same orange “Harris Walz” inscription that helped the campaign sell nearly $1 million worth of hats.

Earlier this week, after Harris announced Walz as her running mate, the campaign threw in the hat. The campaign said it originally printed 3,000 capsules, which sold out in less than 30 minutes.

In the announcement video in which Harris chose Walz as her vice presidential pick, the Minnesota governor is seen wearing a camouflage hat.

Online users picked up on the hat and began calling it the “Midwestern Princess,” a nod to pop singer Chappell Roan’s merchandise. The artist’s hat says “Midwest Princess” in orange font on a camouflage background.

The campaign said that the inspiration for the hat came from the governor himself. They got the idea as soon as the ad video was shared, and he was wearing the print.

waltz shared a photo of himself wearing the hat on Tuesday night after joining Harris at his first rally in Philadelphia.
