Former President Trump fired back at President Biden on Sunday night after the Democrat’s campaign highlighted what Trump called a “false story” that he “froze” during his speech at the National Rifle Association (NRA) event in Dallas this weekend.

“My speech in Dallas this weekend at the NRA’s ‘Endorsement of President Donald J. Trump’ was attended by a record crowd of very enthusiastic patriots,” Trump said. he wrote at Truth Social on Sunday night.

“The Biden Campaign, however, released a Fake Story that I ‘froze’ for 30 seconds, going to the ‘Musical Interlude’ section, when in fact the 30 to 60 second period of silence is standard in each of my speeches where we use the music,” Trump continued, attaching a video of the interlude.

Biden’s campaign posted a clip of pause during Trump’s NRA speech and wrote, “Trump starts playing QAnon music during his bizarre, slur-filled speech at the NRA.”

Background music is a standard part of Trump’s campaign speech and often signals that the former president is wrapping up his prepared remarks. In Trump’s speech on Saturday, it was not immediately clear what prompted the longer-than-usual pause.

Trump, in his post, suggested that Biden’s campaign was going astray by highlighting this moment in the speech.

“The reason they created this misinformation is that Biden freezes all the time, can’t string two sentences together, and can rarely walk off stage without help,” Trump said in his post. “Donald Trump doesn’t freeze! It’s a MADE UP Biden campaign story, published in a dying newspaper I’ve never heard of, and all the reporters know it, including the large group that was there.”

Trump on Sunday night also criticized Biden’s campaign for highlighting a moment during the former president’s speech on Friday night when he leaned on a podium and appeared to move.

“A weak Trump nearly falls on stage after leaning too far at his podium and then delivering an angry speech calling his event staffers ‘lousy,’” the Biden campaign he wrote in a post on Friday, attaching a clip.

trump he responded, saying on Sunday: “As far as the podium is concerned, I actually kept it from falling due to good reflexes and strength, two elements that Joe Biden does not possess. Check out the clip! Crooked Joe is a completely incompetent and corrupt person, even when it comes to spreading a false story like this.”

On a earlier After Sunday night, Trump wrote on Truth Social: “JOE BIDEN IS NOT TOO OLD TO BE PRESIDENT – NOT CLOSE – BUT HE IS VERY INCOMPETENT AND CORRUPT!”
