Former Speaker of the United States House, Nancy Pelosi, defended President Joe Biden, although she acknowledged difficulties during the debate in CNN on Thursday (27) against Trump.

“From a performance point of view, it wasn’t great. But from a values point of view, it far surpassed Trump,” said Pelosi.

The American was asked if she had any concerns about Biden after the debate.

“No, I think on his worst night, his display of integrity was better than the other guy’s dishonesty. Seeing Republicans embrace this dishonesty is simply stunning. So no, I have no problems,” he said.

Pelosi acknowledged that Biden got off to a bad start but improved as the night went on. She said she doesn’t know of any Democrat who has called for Biden to leave the race.

The American accused Trump of practicing “revisionist history” with his comments during the debate on the January 6 attack on the US Capitol.

“What idiot could he be? To think I planned my own murder? Does anyone believe he was sending 10,000 troops? He (was) the president of the United States. He could have sent them, but he didn’t. I refused. Therefore, we cannot have this revisionist history about January 6th,” she said.

Panic in the Democratic Party

Joe Biden’s performance was heavily criticized by experts and even members of the Democratic party.

Some in the group raised discussions about whether he should remain the party’s candidate in November’s US presidential election.

Biden appeared on stage with a weak, hesitant voice.

“Biden looks and sounds terrible. He is incoherent,” said a Democrat who worked in the Biden administration.

According to sources heard by CNN, he is recovering from a cold. Furthermore, it suffers from a reflux problem.

On the other hand, other sources heard by the CNN highlighted that Democratic leaders are not yet planning a direct intervention to pressure Biden to drop out of the electoral race
